Lasell College, near Boston, has built a retirement village on campus that accommodates 230 seniors, many of them alumni. Residents are required to take 450 credit hours per year, and the tuition for those courses is built into the rental fee. Lasell Village generates $1 to $2 million per year for the College.
The Chronicle of Higher Education reports that there are about 50 similar campus developments in the US.

What a terrific idea. Revenue for the college and brain upkeep for the seniors. Win-win!
